Day 2 : 2nd Dream and The Sign of Jonah
In January 2019, a nationally recognized prayer leader had a significant dream regarding America:
I had a prophetic dream where I was taken up to an elevated position over the United States and saw the word, “Nineveh” written over the landscape of the nation. I then was immediately taken into a large courtroom that was filled with all sorts of angelic beings…A gavel was suddenly slammed down in the courtroom and our attention was shifted to the case at hand.
A man in a suit quickly walked in carrying a brief case that had, “The antichrist spirit” engraved on it. He approached the Judge and on the paper he handed to him was clearly written, “ABORTION”…The Judge began to speak out loud in the dream: “The destiny of the United States is hanging in the balance as in the days of Nineveh. I once pronounced judgment on Nineveh and so I now pronounce judgment on the United States of America because they have tolerated the murder of My innocent ones for too long.
“However, I am sending my prophets in the likeness of Jonah from within and without. Yes, I am sending Jonah’s from foreign nations that will confront the antichrist spirit in the United States. Yes, I am also releasing My Jonah’s from within the United States who will contend against the antichrist spirit. Did Nineveh not repent from her wickedness and My hand of judgment relent? Can the United States not repent from her wickedness and My hand of judgment relent concerning this issue of abortion? …
I heard God say, “You have been warned America. What will you do with the judgment of Nineveh upon your nation? Will you fight for life and see mercy fall upon you or will you remain silent and watch as great destruction and economic collapse fall upon your land?”
THE SIGN OF JONAH IS UPON US
In the Fall of 2019, the Lord began to speak to our prayer community that “the sign of Jonah” was now upon us – our campus, community and our nation. As we began to seek the Lord regarding this, we began to understand that the sign of Jonah is not a good thing.
When Jonah arrived on the scene in Nineveh, commissioned with a word from the Lord – it would be their last opportunity to respond, before either a great judgment or revival would fall upon them!
When Jesus arrived on the scene in Jerusalem, he declared that no other sign would be given them except the sign of Jonah. If the sign of Jonah was truly upon them, that also meant the implications of how they responded would carry as much weight as it did in the days of Nineveh!
Sure enough, it was Jerusalem’s last hour to respond, before either unprecedented judgment or revival would be released upon them. What they could not have imagined was how severe and devastating that judgment would be, as it would scatter them from Jerusalem for the next 1,800 to 1,900 years! It wasn’t until 1948 that Israel would become a nation once again.
In this hour, we believe the Lord is saying that the Sign of Jonah is upon America, because of the great wickedness of our unrepentant sin – especially the shedding of innocent blood through abortion.
THE SOBERING REALITY: AMERICA IS MORE WICKED THAN NINEVEH
Since 1973, when Roe v. Wade was legalized in America, we have participated in the murder of nearly 63 million unborn, fully formed babies in the womb!
To put this in perspective and to understand the sobering reality of this statistic, compare this to the death-toll from every major war within our nation from 1775 to 2019:
Revolutionary War: 4,435

Indian Wars : 1,000
Mexican War: 13,283
Civil War: 498,332
Spanish-American War: 2,446
World War I: 116,516
World War II: 405,399
Korean War: 54,246
Vietnam War: 90,220

TOTAL: 1,196,554
The combined death toll of our 12 major wars from the past 244 years of our history makes up only 1.9% of the death toll of unborn babies we have murdered in the womb, in the past 48 years!
Another way to look at it is this: if we were to repeat each of the 12 major wars we’ve engaged in 52 more times, we would be approaching the amount of lives that abortion has destroyed since 1973!
What does the sound of the blood of 63 million babies, crying out from the ground, sound like to the ears of our Creator in heaven? No doubt, the sound of even one person’s scream is enough to unnerve any man or woman! How much more the screams of 63 million, who have been ruthlessly slaughtered in the womb?
Consider now the Holocaust, in which the Nazi regime ruthlessly murdered 6 million Jews between 1941 and 1945. It is easily one of the most shocking and horrifying events in earth’s modern history. If you were to repeat that event ten times over, you would still not match the number of deaths or the horrors mercilessly carried out within the wombs of the women in America. In America, the womb has become about as safe as the gas chambers of the Nazi regime.
Now grasp this: these unfathomable numbers are not the numbers of innocent babies ruthlessly destroyed across the world – this blood-guilt belongs to America alone.
When the Father looks at America, and hears the blood-curdling screams of 63 million babies crying out to Him from the ground, and sees our nation adding another 1 million every year, how do you imagine it makes Him feel? To say that America deserves the complete and utter devastation of the wrath of a holy and just God, would be to put it lightly!
Yet, even in the midst of this horrendous crisis, there is still hope. There is still a blood that speaks a better word than the innocent blood of millions spilled out upon our nation, if we will repent (turn from our wicked ways) and return to God with all of our hearts! (Heb. 12:24; Joel 2:12-14).
PRAYER
“Jesus, I plead Your blood over my sins and the sins of my nation. God, end abortion and send revival to America!” Ask and allow the Holy Spirit to break your heart over America and the weight of her sin. Begin to cry out for MERCY on behalf of our land!!
